In order to enable as many delegates as possible to attend the conference, the fee will be based on the delegate's country of residence. In this way, persons in developing countries will pay a smaller fee while persons in high income countries will pay a larger fee. In fact, the fees from delegates from high income countries will not only cover conference costs but also make a donation that will offset the costs for delegates from low income countries.

The conference fee includes lodging for 4 nights, meals for 4 days, conference materials, round trip airport transfers, sightseeing excursion, invitation letter for visa, and a copy of the published proceedings (mailed after the conference). We have settled on the following tiered conference fee in US$: High Income $495US / Upper Middle Income $395 / Lower Middle Income $295 / Low Income $195. 

High: Australia, China/Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Taiwan

Upper Middle: Malaysia

Lower Middle: Indonesia, Marshall Islands, Philippines, Thailand

Low: Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Solomon Islands

Subsidy Request

Through the generosity of select IAPCHE institutions and donors, some money is available for partial subsidy for delegates, but this is very limited. Please submit requests well in advance of the conference. Subsidy awards will be made after January 1, 2008.

 

Note the following criteria: Subsidy will be awarded based on the demonstration of need, partial funding from another source, country of residence, and IAPCHE membership. We will strive for an equal distribution of delegates from the countries in the Asia/Oceania region. Subsidized delegates are expected to share a room, i.e. subsidy will not cover costs for a single room.

 Due to limited funds, IAPCHE cannot award 100% subsidies. Please explain who will assist you financially. We suggest that you 

 approach your institution, organization, as well as other supporters in addition to making this request of IAPCHE.

 Realistically you may expect to receive subsidy for only a portion of your airfare. The conference fee is already structured

 (tiered) to accommodate the economic classification of the Asia/Oceania countries. Please state the minimum amount of subsidy
