Prof. Dovhani Thakhathi

Executive Dean of the Faculty of Management and Commerce; University of Fort Hare

Prof Dovhani Thakhathi holds a PhD degree in Commerce and Management from UNISA. He is the first Chairperson of the PSTF and one of its pioneers. He was also the first National President of the South African Association of Public Administration (SAAPAM). Prof Thakhathi participated in the Presidential Mandela Review Commission on Public Service, GTZ/DPSA Public Review Committee on Eastern Cape and Mpumalanga provinces. Prof Thakhathi held many leadership positions notable HOD, Deputy Dean and DVC at University of Venda, Director of Busines School at University of Limpopo and Chief Director (TOT) at SAMDI. He has traveled widely and delivered many conference papers. He has led many research projects in Local government, Health Management, public administration, traditional affairs and civic associations.  He has served as an external examiner for many universities. He is presently the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Management and Commerce; University of Fort Hare. He is also a member of the University Council representing Senate.
