J. Dinakarlal, Editor of Asia/Oceania Contact and Director for Asia/Oceania
Dr. Dinakarlal taught English for thirty-four years at Scott Christian College (Autonomous), India and served as dean. He has conducted several national level training programs for students, teachers, and administrators for All India Association for Christian Higher Education and served as consultant to their program on alcohol, drug, AIDS, and tobacco. He has associated himself with the Student Christian Movement of India and YMCA in several capacities. He is trained in Christian leadership by Haggai Institute, Singapore. Recognizing his contributions to higher education, he was honored with the prestigious national Rev. Fr. TA Mathias Award for Innovative College Principals/Teachers. As an academician, he has served peer teams of NAAC, assessing and accrediting colleges in India and has made several presentations on higher education in seminars and conferences. He has several publications to his credit. His interests include ecology and environment, alcoholism and drug addiction, personality development, human rights, women’s studies, value education, and Christian leadership.
